Adulsa - Ayurvedic Cough Syrup

I am one of those people who hate to pump their bodies with medications and chemicals unless absolutely required. So it goes without saying that whenever I am struck with ailments such as cold and cough, I prefer to let the body heal naturally or use natural/herbal remedies if necessary. We don’t realize it, but human bodies are amazingly resilient and can overcome small illnesses with little or even no help at all.

For this exact reason, I am a big fan of Adulsa Cough Syrup. It is an Ayurvedic compound preparation that provides natural relief from cough and throat discomfort. It is safe to use for everyone - from infants to older adults. There are several brands of Adulsa available in India. This was the cough medicine of choice in my house when we were growing up and I continue to use it for my kids. When taken for 2 or 3 days as per the directions, it has always proven to be effective.

The main ingredients in the medicine are Ayurvedic herbs like Tulasi, Vasa, Yasti, Sunthi, Pudina, Madhurika etc., Most Adulsa preparations today are syrup based and kids love its sweet taste.

Cuisinart - DCG-12BC - Grind Central Coffee Grinder

Cuisine art coffee grinderIndian cooking is full of spices, dry powder chutneys. Making those powder chutneys and spice powders was very difficult with the blenders available here. I had always thought of geeting Indian mixie from India but somehow never happened.

A friend of mine told me that coffee grinder works really good for such things. She suggested me this cuisine-art product. And wow!!! the product is really amzing. Before buying this coffee grinder, I did my research. Most of the other coffee grinders are not dishwasher safe, but in case of this product, all the usable parts are dishwasher safe. It is not very noisy. Its grinds perfectly.

I have been using this product last 6 months. I have used it to make peanut powder, sesame seeds powder, different dry chutneys. It is worth to have it at home..

Desai Bandhu Mango Pulp with Tidbits

Mango PulpAmras puri is a very popular dish in Maharashtra. I love this dish. I always get the mangoes available in Indian stores or get the mango pulp available in Indian stores. Few years back, I went to India with my kids in the mango season. They loved the amaras which their aaji used to make. In Maharashtra, aamras is made by squeezing the mangoes. It tastes really great with those lumps. After coming to US, my son demanded that he wanted the amras as you get at aaji's house.

But few months back, while doing the groceries at Indian store, I found Desai Bandhu Mango Pulp with Tidbits. I knew Desai Bandhu, Pune. They are very famous for their Mango products. This pulp is wonderful, just like homemade amras with all those lumps. Now, this pulp has become must at my house. I have tried Mango Shake, Mango Lassi , Mango Sundae and yes the divine – Amras Puri.

If you like the amras with lumps, then go for it. I am quite sure you will enjoy it....

Verdict : Buy
