Tilgul: Jayu's Easy Breezy Can't go Wrong Recipe


3/4 cup roasted Til (Sesame Seeds)
1/4 cup roasted crushed groundnuts

1 cup sugar
1 tsp ghee

1/4 tspoon cardamom powder

pinch of saffron

Time: 10 minutes (excluding roasting peanuts and til)

Prepare a plate or clean smooth surface by applying some ghee.
Heat ghee and sugar in a thick bottom non-stick pan.
The sugar will turn into lumps and then into a brown syrup.
Remove from heat, add cardamom powder, and saffron and mix in the peanuts-sesame seeds mixture quickly.
Spread the mixture on the prepared plate while hot. ( You can use ghee covered rolling pin to spread it)

Cut into pieces while warm.

You can make daNyaachI chikkI if you use only crushed roasted peanuts.
